Know Your Ingredients

The beauty with our organic, handmade soaps, is the detail and care we take to ensure each ingredient is safe and without any harsh detergents or chemicals. We deliberately choose and test each ingredient for quality and safety, and do not add any additional chemicals to our soaps. For extra transparency, we've listed each ingredient and its purpose so you can know exactly what is touching your skin.

Distilled Water

Distilled Water is the most pure form of water. In the distillation process, any contaminants or minerals are removed to create a pure H2O. This allows us to create the cleanest soap possible with no foreign particles. Having pure water also lets us perform the saponification(the process in which fats are turned into soaps) consistently to create the perfect soap!

Pure Olive Oil

This staple in fine cuisine isn't just healthy to eat, it leaves the skin feeling smooth and hydrated and creates a creamy lather.

Coconut Oil

Coconut Oil, a solid at room temperature, provides balance to our soap batter with it's cleansing properties and production of large bubbles.

Sustainably Sourced Palm Oil

Palm Oil helps create a harder bar and when paired with coconut oil, it creates a rich lather. Palm oil is the most used vegetable oil in the world, but it's environmental and social impact have been heavily reported on. Our Palm Oil is ONLY sustainably sourced, ensuring that the workers are fairly treated and the environment is not damaged and abused.

Hemp Seed Oil

Hemp Seed Oil is an amazing source of fatty acids which is why we use the max amount in our recipe without losing the soaps integrity and main cleansing purpose. Hemp seed oil is created by pressing the seeds of the cannabis plant and is generally used in many ways such as in cooking or for moisturizing. Hemp Seed oil is not CBD oil and is not interchangeable with CBD oil, the oil contains essentially zero THC. For soaps with CBD oil please check back soon!

Lye (Sodium Hydroxide)

The key to the saponification process, Lye converts the fatty acids of the oils into a soap. Our soaps contain slightly less Lye in proportion to our Oils to create a superfat. A superfat is a soap that contains extra, unsaponified oils which gives the silky feeling you expect from our luxury soaps.

Colloidal Oatmeal

Colloidal Oatmeal is created by grinding the oat grain into a fine powder and has been used for centuries as a salve for itchy dry skin. All of our soaps contain Colloidal Oatmeal to ensure your skin is kept safe and luscious.

Sodium Lactate

Sodium Lactate is created by fermenting a sugar and neutralizing the lactic acid. This natural ingredient allows us to create harder, longer lasting bars of soap!

Fragrance Oils

This is where the magic happens! Our signature scents are crafted and infused into fragrance oils. These fragrance oils are then added to the soap batter after the saponification process to make sure the soap's scent is as clear and defined as you expect. The relaxing and sweet aromas experienced when using our soaps wouldn't be possible without these oils.

Colorants

In any work of art, you need a canvas. For us, our soap batter is our canvas, but our designs can only be realized with our colorants and skill. While allowing us to create beautiful soaps, we tread a careful line to include only a minimal amount of colorants to ensure your skin won't be irritated. We also offer all natural soaps with no colorants and minimal fragrance oils.

Toppings/Additives

While our toppings help us create unique soaps, they can also be functional. Ranging from cranberry seeds to ground apricot seeds, our toppings can exfoliate and add character to our soaps. Additionally, additives such as activated charcoal, poppy seeds or salts can be added to our signature soaps as an exfoliant embedded throughout the bar.
